I've been using the Maverick ET-732 thermometer for a long time but since I was given a Thermoworks Smoke, I've been wanting to use it on my Weber 22 grill which I smoke my wings, meatloaf, etc on, but there is no simple place to magnetically fix the transmitter to, except for the shell itself but that gets very hot, so where else?
I've always hung the Maverick's transmitter onto the handle of the weber with it's built in wire stand. But the smoke does not have this. Instead the back has built in magnets.
So out in the shop I went and welded up a quick steel bracket that hooks onto the Weber's handle, which the Smoke's transmitter can adhere to.
