And so it begins! With a little luck and alot of help from you all here at SMF, i am hopefully on my way to creating great bbq for family and friends. Assembly was easy, and she is cooking off  the manufacturing oils as i type. I will throw some chips in the box, in a couple of hours to christen her right.  My model mes 30, i bought on amazon. It is the old generation, but it does allow access to the rear of the heating element. Which, i took the liberty of opening, and covered all the connections with a slathering of dialectric grease and rewrapped with shrink tubing. Hoping to stave off any premature corrosion failure, which i read here many have experienced. Living in SoFla, this is a constant battle because of the high humidity. As soon as i can save up a few bucks, i will be ordering that amnps and pellets! Have a great weekend all! Go Heat!

Congrats on the new MES!  Now get it dirty and show us some qview!

Ahh the good old days.  I remember when mine was that clean! Might try tighting those screws around the glass before using the Ptex 6BR

Have a blast! b
