Finally got my contraption in cooking trim. My pride&joy is the Tel-Tru thermo and ThermoWorks Billows

Latest addition is the exhaust baffle. It’s a cut down electrical safety plate. Bolt goes thru a spacer and double-nutted below a spring to provide tension.

Would’ve been simpler if I knew how to weld.

Here’s the Billows attached to one of the intakes:

It’s a fan controlled by the ThermoWorks Signals remote thermometer. It uses the pit probe on Channel4 to maintain set temp.

Here’s the ribs ready to go on

Now, that’s textbook thin blue smoke!

Really efficient!

so, I guess it really needs painting….

Cool smoker

Yep, that thing will cook! Really nice ribs Fraser. I'm thinking that drum will cook for a good long time. Like.

That is a good looking build. Personally, I would not paint it since it looks great as-is.
Looks like she turns out excellent ribs too.

Love the drum smokers myself. I have 2 and another waiting for conversion.
My offset definitely puts off the best flavor profile but time and weather doesn’t always allow for the offset. However, the drums do produce some killer bbq.

Great work on the ribs and the build! You really nailed it! I’m getting a kick out of seeing someone in shorts too!
