I did my first smoked turkey on my new Traeger Jr. smoker. Used rub and then a simple mop of apple juice, apple cider, wors. sauce and oil. Used hickory pellets and smoked/slow cooked for about 6 hrs. It came our great! I'm hooked. The neighborhood dogs and cats better stay clear - I'm ready to smoke whatever I can get my hands on. Happy holidays to all.

Would love to see pics of the turkey if you have any. If not, maybe the next smoke.
Glad to see you're hooked like the rest of us.

Man I really glad that you turkey came out so well. Just a word to the wise dogs are kinda stingy but now for cats those things are really yummy so just let me know and I'll get you the marinade if you want.

Congrats, a warning though, cats aren't bad eating, but it really depends on the breed of dog, little dogs don't have much meat, just kiddin

Congrats man, hope you enjoy the traeger.

Turkey is one of my favorite smokes! Nothing beats a perfectly smoked turkey.
