Well, I have made very failed attempts to smoke meat in the past, and helped others with smokes, but this is my first official smoke of my own. Started the fire at 6AM, put the meat on around 7, turkey and boston butt. Temps have held pretty good, had to run to son's soccer game, and was a little worried, but all was fine. Turkey is at 154* at the moment...I am getting hungry. More pics later.

By golly, I think you're going to make some good Q!

Getting really close and I'll be looking forward to the Qview

Just took the Turkey off and wrapped it to rest. Wrapped the butt and it still has a little longer to go....looks good!!

Well, the turkey turned out nice. I am not a fan of white meat even on chicken, but this was OK, the dark was very nice a juicy. The pork pulled nicely and was very good. My first try was a success, in my opinion. Can't wait to try some tweaks and give it another go.
