So I'm an übergeek and I love change.  It's a sickness.

I think the new forum is great on so many levels ('cept maybe the colors...kinda hard on my eyes, but I'll adjust).

I was poking around after the cutover and I was trying to figure out what the Smokers & More page was all about.

My first thought was great, Jeff sold out and there's all kinds of ads on here for stuff based on posts and tags and such.

Well I was so wrong.

This page is like a superwiki.  We have the forums for the different types of equipment we all have, but this page actually has information about the types of smokers we all own.  Factory information like specs and places for links to the manufacturer.

But it gets even better folks.

On the bottom of the page is the Wiki article for the equipment:

So you're saying to yourself, "OK Indy, get to the point."

Well, the point is, we can consolidate all the information for the WSM right here.  A one-stop shop for all mods, tips, tricks, troubleshooting, etc.

No more searching through thousands of posts for WSM Mods and digging through to find what you're looking for.  You just come here and look at the wiki page and find what you need.

Now you're saying, "That's awesome but who's gonna fill out that information."  Answer:  any and all WSM owners!

I'm a new WSM owner and I'd love it if you WSM vets would come to this page and start putting in your mods, troubleshooting tips and any other how to's.

By far the coolest part of the new format IMO.

Right on Mike!  I saw the WSM wiki yesterday, and being a very excited new WSM owner added some info on my experience using a clay saucer in place of water in the water pan.  Now, I'm still very much a novice, but imagine the collective knowledge we can capture from all the folks with many smokes and knowledge under their belts.

Just got to get everyone to think Wiki!  Maybe we need a slogan -- "better than a sticky, use the Wiki!"

I should get to work now......

yes if people use that it would be a great place for good info, i did a review of my new Weber grill but when i go look it doesn't have the own it button checked? or maybe its because its me looking at it? make any sense?
