MY FAMILY SAYS I NEED HELP!!

My family thinks i have gone of the deep end.

All I talk about is smoking meat, cheese, salt, everything. If not what i smoked last, what i will smoke next!! When I am not at work I am either smoking something or on this forum researching something about smoking something! I'm talking about retiring because work takes up to much of my smoker time. There has been rumors of an intervention!

 How do I convince my family {except my wife she already understands me} that i have not lost my mind and did not hit my head in a bad fall!

I tried feeding them the fruits of my insanity {they said it was most excellent and came back for more} but they still think I am touched in the head.

Also just wondering if Sam's Club's meat department makes installment loans LOL

Wolfman1955, I hear ya brother!  I have leftover succulent beer-can smoked chicken and delicious pulled pork in the frig.  My fingers are still recovering from 3rd degree burns when I made a boneheaded move grabbing a hot grill without gloves.  Even though I have 98.8 lbs of lump and briquettes in the garage I scored two 20 lbs bags of Lazzari mesquite lump charcoal at the grocery store today for $3.99/bag!  Heck, I was just going to the store to buy eggs for breakfast.  Of course I had to buy some meat to try out the new lump so there's a 7.5 lb beef chuck cross rib roast in the WSM as I type (pics to follow).  I'm beyond saving.

For what it is worth, my daughter bought me a book for Christmas.  HOW TO STOP SMOKING IN 4 EASY STEPS. She says it was a gag gift as I do not smoke cigarettes, She too has no trouble eating what I smoke.

Ignore your family, they're wrong. You need no help. You are beyond help. You cannot be helped.

You are a sick person, and honestly the only way to be cured is to go to the grocery store and buy 5 lbs of lettuce or some other green stuff. Then put in in a pot and do something with it. After a while take it out and put it on a plate. Then eat it. If you can eat it all and you feel good, you're cured. If you feel like crap and never want to see any green crap for the rest of your life, and can't wait to sink your teeth into some hunk of beast that has sat on a grate over smoke from wood for a while. Now you're just basically screwed. Just give in to the dark side, there is no hope for you!

I love this smoking lifestyle too! (Even if I do simple, simple, and SIMPLE, "minimalistically arranged" healthful things and from the ocean)!

i to am a smokeaholick most of my family are trying to be suportive but my vigan sister just dosen`t understand she said that anamals halve feelings and it is not morale to kill and eat them i told her HORSE PUCKEY we did not clime to the top of the food chain to eat tofo (YUCK)  she also claims that smoking your food will cause cancer i again say HORSE PUCKEY i halve tryed to spred smokeing meat trough  the family if i can just keep her commie plot way of thinking out of the minds of the rest of mankind  and no i am fairly shure i don`t need an intrvention

I think your sister is the one who need the intervention.

 she needs to understand not eating meat is just not natural!!

If eating nothing but vegetables and tofu(YUCK) was natural we would have teeth like cows not insissors for cutting through MEAT and molars for chewing it up. Although having more vegans around would leave more meat for us natural folks, maybe we ought to spread the word about veganism!! Just a thought. LOL
