Muslin casings

Most folks I know who use them make their own. Muslin (in several grades) is available from any fabric store. Then it's just a matter of sewing it into tubes of appropriate width and length.

Make sure you (or whoever does the seweing) uses 100% cotton thread. Synthetics and blends won't do.

Thanks guys. I read to soak them in liquid smoke? This must be a pa Dutch thing maybe. Anyone have a decent recipe to share? I have about 10 lbs of venison and a few lbs of pork. But a recipe for any meat would be great. Thanks again!
