OK it's time for smoked chex mix. i will be smoking it in my Deluxe UDS with AMNPS. i am using apple pellets

here are the ingredients

4 cups rice chex

4 cups corn chex

2 cups wheat chex

2 cups Cheerios        next time it will be 4 cups

3 cups cheese-its

pretzels broke up          about 6 oz that was what was left of a 12oz bag

2 sticks real salted butter

3/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

1 tbs seasoned salt

1 tbs spoon Louisiana hot sauce

melt the butter, add Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, hot sauce. blend well. mix all other ingredients. then add 1/4 of the sauce. mix well add 1/4 more. keep going till all is mixed in.

got about 2/3 charcoal chimney going. got the AMNPS going with apple pellets. dialed heat in to about 225 deg.

put the chex mix on UDS and smoked for a little over 3 hours, stirring every 30 min, till dry and crisp let cool while eating them. then package any leftovers. if any left.

this is smoke from the AMNPS only. they say it will fill a barrel. i agree.

smoke entering from the right

just put on the smoker.

after 1/2 hour. not much change

after a little more than 3 hours

the money shot.

once again i am pleased with the uds

happy smoken.

That looks mighty good, Mule!  We love Chex mix, but it hadn't yet occurred to me to smoke it....Hmmm....Something new on the "To Do" list!
