My wife wanted friends and BBQ for her birthday.

So, I will of course deliver.

Brisket is already on the smoker, just added a pork butt and a pork belly to the chamber.

Got some sides we will be throwing in there too, stay tuned for the Q-view.

That all looks great! Hope your wife enjoyed her day. Usually what I do for my birthday. My wife thinks I am crazy for wanting to cook but gives me an excuse to drink beer and play with the smoker all day.

Come on John....do you really need an excuse? Personally I think you're in a state of denial. You need to give yourself to a higher power and admit that you're powerless and you have an addiction. I can hear it now...John shows up for his meeting, sits down in front of everybody and states "I'm John and I'm an SMF'aholic" Then the resounding reply of "HI JOHN!!"

My only question is this: How did this not make the carousel? It is a gorgeous meal, beautifully presented, and I'd jump all over a few plates of.....well, pretty much everything. Beautiful cook!! Congrats to the wife on her birthday

HI JOHN!! You're in good company it appears because I'm guessing you're not the only one with that addiction. Went to Barnes and Noble yesterday looking for a self-help book on breaking the SMF addiction. When I asked the lady where to find the books, she said if she answered me it'd defeat the purpose of self help.
