Why not sugar???

Pit Boys Moppin and Dippin sauce

Recipe:
1/2 cup ketchup
1 1/2 cups Apple Juice
1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
4 tbls. Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp. Garlic Powder
Chopped Onion
Your favorite Hot Pepper Sauce to taste

Combine all ingredients and then simmer in a pan along side your beef, pork, or chicken on the grill. Use for both mopping and dipping barbeque sauce.

I have never worried about natural sugars in my mop.
I use apple cider and either rum or bourbon,
Add a little of your favorite rub and heat to a low boil . simmer for a few min. and let cool.
If i am doing any kind of beef i add a stick of butter to my mop.

You can use what ever ya like for a mop, many folds use a wide varity and some strange stuff in their mops. It all boils down to what you like.

Butter on beef and pork ribs is great as eman said, suger helps with barq.

Seeing as there is sugar in your RUB most likely, and sugar in your BBQ sauce you put on afterwords, why can't you sugar your mop??

I agree you can MOP with just about anything really!!!
