Missing Bear??

yea... seems I've picked up something too... Laptop always locking/freezing up... have to do a hard boot... weather widgets aren't working anymore on desktop ... I've gotten more window updates in the last week or so than I have got the whole time I've had this laptop ...

Hey bear it happens even to IT techs, had to replace the mother board 1 week in my MacBookPro and then a month later had to replace the video card in the same MBP, and if before anyone asks the video card is not separate from motherboard on the MBP. so new mother board again.  finally get that fixed and fry the hard drive.  

. and to make maters worse i work IT and had to take it to the store as it was under warranty for 3 more days.  thankfully when the hard drive went out they covered that as they felt that the motherboard is what took it out.  Love the mac's been running them for about 15 years and never had many problems except this one time, not operator related at least.

Hopefully he can get it fixed up for ya Bear. My wife's MBP died so I had to give her mine. I've been stuck with just the iPhone for a while now. Makes things like q-view a bit difficult. [emoji]128516[/emoji]
A buddy gave me a laptop running Vista a while back and I feel a little ungrateful, but hardly even turn the thing on. After a few years of having all Apple, it's so damn balky and clunky it's just too frustrating.

Thanks to all you guys for your concern. I hope I get my MBP back real soon, as I don't trust myself on all the steps it takes to get up to this iMac27.

At least this is a lot more fun than the 28 days of receiving all the replies & prayers from you guys 2 years ago, during my Open-Heart Fiasco.

Once I get it back, I'll be able to get on here a lot more. Meanwhile I'll try to get up here at least once a day.

OK, Guys-----Bear's Back!!

I didn't get my MacBook Pro back yet, but my Son gave me another one to use until I get mine.

This one is a "MacBook Pro" too, but it's an older model, and a little bigger & heavier.

He calls it a floater, because he keeps it around in case he needs it for one of his employees when they need to use one on a job.

It's a little different than mine, but not a whole lot.

Got 4" of fresh snow today, on top of about 18" of old snow.

Seems to be changing to a mix right now.

LOL.... here in Oregon we've maybe had 4" total for the year!!

(not quite that bad but close - I think our ski area has a total base for the year of about 30", and the only have had 1 or 2 weeks of being open)

We've had a total of 50" of snow so far this season.

Our local ski area, "Bear Creek Mountain Resort" has plenty of snow this year (56" of packed snow right now).

They're about 8 miles down the road from my house.

They're shooting for 80 days open this year. Was 81 days last year.
