Hi all,

I joined this forum awhile back but didn't do much smoking. I have a renewed interest in smoking after purchasing a used Bradley. I already own a Trager pellet grill which I really enjoy cooking with but find it's not much of a smoker without using a smoke tube or other smoke generator.

My brother has owned a Bradley for years and likes it....so when I found a great deal on a used Bradley I had to have it.

Being a retired engineer I enjoy tinkering with things to figure out how they work and if they can be improved. Right away I discovered somethings with the Bradley could be improved....so I made some improvements. The first item was the heating element. The original 500W element can not provide the chamber temperatures necessary for winter smoking. The second items is the Bradley Briquettes, or pucks, they are expensive and have limited wood type choices so I created a process and a mold fixture to make my own.

If there is interest I will share my Bradley adventures.

I live about 30 miles from Grand Forks in the summer.

Central Florida is home in the winter months.

Would love to see your posts on making Bradley pucks and revising the heating.
I don't have one, but a couple friends have them.

Auber PID controllers are plug n play with the Bradley,this will help you in keeping your set temps within +/- 1℉ of your set temp.
