MES Question

Is the MES internal temp unit or meat thermometer accurate on any of the gen two MES units? I had the 30 inch with no window and took back to lowes. Masterbuilt offering to sell me the 40 inch window smoker for 250. Thoughts?

I had 3 of these gen 2's sent to me after the first one wouldn't shut off the element and melted the insulation on the first cook. Waited 6 weeks for a new controller. This one was about 40 degrees off. Sent new cabinet telling sensors in the cabinet were bad. Worse than the second one. Had to give up on them. If you look on this forum and others you'll see similar complaints. I wouldn't ever get a gen 2 masterbuilt after my experience.
