I am just before trying the A-MAZE-N smoker maze or the Masterbuilt Electric ColdSmoker kit. Before doing so, I am trying to decide if what I have is the Gen I or Gen II smoker. Is there an easy way to tell this?
Most of my smokes are limited to burgers, salmon and chicken. It may be that I don't even need either one since my cooking times are limited to an hour or so, it's just that I would like more smoke flavor than I am currently getting.
I will say this, based on all of extra steps that it takes to get the A-MAZE-N smoker maze to light and stay lit, I am just wondering if I wouldn't be better off just getting the Cold Smoker kit. Maybe it's just me, but I have not really seen many that have it complain about it vs. a lot of people seem to have issues with the A-MAZE-N smoker maze.
Thanks in advance for your help!
