Hello to all. I just registered to the forum. I am looking for an electric smoker for smoking sausage and bacon that I make. I found this at

I was wondering if this is a good smoker that will last and if it is a good price.

I am also brand new here so keep that in mind. I ordered the $199.99 Masterbuilt 30 inch Bluetooth digital Electric Smoker, model 20072115 from Academy Sports. It arrived today via FedEx. I had checked on it earlier to determine what Generation it was and it is the newest generation, 2.5. From me reading on here, the original Gen 1 was good but the Gen 2 had some problems. The Gen 2.5 is supposed to have addressed the problems and seems to be the best choice now.

With the price being is the best I have seen and it being the Gen 2.5 I am very happy so far. Again, I am new to all of this but could provide you with some information. If you would like some detailed pictures of the smoker, just let me know.

I would recommend you send a conversation (private message) to "bearcarver" and see what his opinion is. He has the best background I know of on the Masterbuilt Electric Smokers.
