MES 30 - 3 Year Review

I have had my MES 30 Sportsman Elite for about 3 years now so I thought it was high time I did a review and pointed out the good, the bad and the ugly. Overall I really like this unit and I use it smoke just about everything.

Thanks Old Sarge, yes it is still available in Canada. The MES 30 is essentially the same as the sportsman elite but has a different digital display and the placement of the exhaust vent is different

From reading many posts on the MES smokers, there was a difference in performance when the controller and vent were relocated. No sure but I think you have the more reliable model. bearcarver has done a lot of work and research into the differences and here is a link to his findings:
