I am planning on getting a meat slicer and was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Chinese knockoffs of the Hobart, like the Presto, MTN, LEM and such. I did a search but couldn't find anything specific about these slicers. Any help would be appreciated. I know I don't want the cheap plastic $200 slicers but I also don't have $$$$ for a really good Hobart, or Berkel. I have been checking Craigslist for months and nothing has shown up in my area, so I am looking at getting something new.

Thanks, I am aware of that but I think most of Amazon reviews are written by professionals for the manufacturers. I was looking for anyone on the forum that had first hand knowledge of one of these slicers.

Well  I went ahead and got a slicer from flebay, so I when it gets here I will post some initial impressions, for anyone that is interested and then see how ell it holds up.
