Good morning y'all....absolutely love this site. Tons of great information here and I thank y'all for it. Been reading up here for a couple weeks now and figured it was time to register. Got my very first butt on the smoker as of 6:15. Using some North Louisiana post oak to get it done. We shall see...

Sounds like a great start. 

I use red oak all the time, great wood for smoking.
