Masterbuilt Propane Smoker putting black soot-like substance on my meat

My smoker has started to put a black soot (it seems) over the meat when I smoke. How do I overcome this? Thanks, all!

I'm with you on this it sounds like the burner is starving for O2

Bugs and spiders love to build nests in the burner tube. If the flame is anything other than blue, it likely needs cleaning.

1st check the color of your flame , the 2 nd thing i would check is to see if its time to clean your smoker
( i pretty much take mine apart and give it a good cleaning twice a year )
