Temperatures in the teens tonight. Not feeling confident in this little smoker's ability to hit 275. Does anyone have experience in this regard? I could put it in the garage but would prefer not to.

Thanks.

My two mes 40’s are in my unheated pole barn. I smoke all year round through Michigan winters. Now I don’t smoke at 275 much, but I have had no issues smoking at 250 for years with this set up.

I use a MES 30 and smoke outside year round with no issues. The smoker is well insulated. I'm going to be smoking a prime rib tomorrow to go along with the turkey. The high for us tomorrow is going to be around 22 degrees.

+2; VERY happy with MES winter performance. Keep peeking to minimum etc and you should be fine.

Hi there and welcome!
If you need to build heat faster you can close down the top vent. I would open it back up though once you hit your desired set temp. Smoking in an MES with a completely closed vent is a "no no" :)
