These throwdowns are a great way for me to steal ideas. Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with...

I've been craving steak lately. Thanks for the inspiration to get up and make it happen!

So bmudd14474 bmudd14474 there have been a couple questions... just to make it easier for you to find. David, DRKsmoking DRKsmoking asked if it's only beef steak or can it be pork steak?
Also fxsales1959 fxsales1959 just asked if tri tip is considered a steak.
One question I thought of last night... does it have to have a smoked part of the cook or any steak cooked on gas grill or in a cast iron pan on stove?
Forgot all about the Throwdown last night
... but sure was a great meal! Would post a pic but thinking I should recreate the meal and enter it!

I should have paid attention, did these the other day and didn't know about the throwdown. Plus I didn't get the photos needed.

Had two nice Prime Porterhouse from Double R Ranch, one was a tad more T Bone but thicker.

In the pic above in the lower right corner you can see my Sous Chef.

I had the Weber going, gave a quick sear on both sides and stood them up. I like thick steaks so I get the crust I am after without overcooking .

Plate shot and thats all I got.

Turned out really nice, wish I would have taken more photos.

Still time for round two!

I wasn't going to enter then I realized Saturday I did 7 ribeyes on a weber 22. Tonight I have tritip on. Did a ribeye for momma last week. Week damn I better get in I think. Only sent in tonight's mediocre effort though. Gimme a break, it's a Monday.
