Well......Dexter is the "yeti" of the knife world for filleting fish so I'm sure you are paying for the name. I've not looked into other brands, but as long as the specs. are the same, it should work well. I paid $28 bucks for mine way back when.....
I like the "Yeti of the knife world" comparison. If that holds, I might be able to get 98% of the function for 10% of the price, something that you can see from the huge collection of cooler comparison videos on this site:

The Yeti usually wins the "ice challenge," to see which cooler keeps ice from melting for the longest time, but the difference in performance are sometimes pretty small.
 
This thread made me smile. My wife had NEVER had injury or surgery stitches until she decided to hand wash my mandoline. She ended up with a finger like Tom's. I resemble Frankenstein I've had so many stitches. I took one look at her finger and said, "We're going to the emergency room."

We immediately bought a couple pairs of cut resistant gloves, but she still won't go near my mandoline.
