"Mail Box" MOD using HVAC vent

I thought I would try out the mailbox mod for my MES last weekend but I could not, for the life of me, find a rural-style metal mailbox for sale in town. Accordingly, I just grabbed a bunch of HVAC ventilation pieces from the hardware store and took some tin snips to them. A few (too many) beers and a bit of Aluminum tape later and BEHOLD! ..... The HVAC Mod?

That will work just as well as a mailbox.

When i was ready to do my mailbox mod the closest place i could find an actual mailbox was 90 miles from home. I simply built mine out of 3/4" plywood. Works like a charm.

Yes I smoked some ribs with it and it worked great!
