You have just won the Powerball Lottery, now what do you do with your life from here on out?

I looked and didn't see anything like this, just wanting to see what kind of response's i get, i have done this before on another forum, and it's funny what some people come up with.

payoff the house, and all debt, retire, buy another house somewhere thats warm in the winter(Florida, Arizona, Texas), and just hang out with my family. Of course travel is in the cards

I'd turn the boss onto a Johnny Paycheck song.

Than I'd hunt and fish and buy more smokers.

Hope they didn't figure out that ticket I gave them was a fake.

I live up here in the frozen north. I'd pack up the brand new car, hook on the trailer, then I'd strap some ski's and a snow shovel on the roof rack. I'd point my car south and drive stopping in all the fancy hotels and restaurants along the way.

When I reached a place, which to me is yet unknown and one of the locals points to the snow shovel and the skis and says whut in the sam hell are those thangs?
I'll know then that I have driven far enough south. I will buy a house near that town on a quiet lake. I'll park the car, shoot out the tires on the trailer cause it will never move again.

Then I will order a J5 Jambo smoker rig and a couple of ricks of pecan and other woods. I'll Find a really good butcher for a never ending meat supply. Purchase a boatload of beer, then sit back and jest ree lax my butt off for a spell.
Yer all invited to the ensuing party......... when I win the lotto.

Once the check is in hand, I'd quit my job so fast my boss's head would spin more en usual!

Pay off everthing we got an the kids.

Go someplace warm fer the rest a winter an figure out what ta do fer the summer. It's fishin an huntin season someplace all year!

Lots a smokers an party's fer all my friends here at home an on the bbq sites, yes, I'd like ta meet all the folks I know on the sites.

Enjoy life as best as I could unencumbered by the woes a money!

Ya know, they say money don't buy happiness, but it certainly buys a better grade a misery!

I had a dream like this a month ago. The first thing I did was go and buy the whole family new Jeep Wranglers, his and hers. My parents have worked their arses off all their lives and are lucky to have a pot to pee in so I would pay off their home. My oldest son, the pro student, I would pay off all his student loans and his future schooling, my oldest daughter and my two beautiful grandchildren, I would buy them a new home, my next son, who graduates high school this year, wouldn't have to worry about student loans, my youngest son, the drum player, would have nothing but the finest drums around and also a free ride to college, my oldest step daughter, I would pay off all her student loans and any future schooling she would want then last but not least, the other step-daughter, I would pay her way through med school.
Why would I throw so much money at my family and children? My children are all old enough for me to see where they are heading in life. I can see they are all trying to make a life for themselves in unselfish and meaningful ways. They all deserve it...

You guys have this all wrong - if you have that many $ there is no plan. The plan is what you wake up and decide what to do that day. It could involve paying off debts or going on some exotic adventure. At this point it is all good - Not sure I would ever pay off loans for others because they just would never get the hard work I put in to get to this point in life - LOL

must be a west coast thing..........cuz that's my line of thought.

I'd pay off the bills, then go get a physical and same with my wife and correct anything that's correctible. I'd have time without working to spend on keeping fitter, buy foods that are good for me, not just to carlorie me up, and the same with the wife. I've already given up drinking and smoking, been on diets, no sugar, but still have a problem with fats, so i could now afford to buy leaner higher quality cuts that would be better for me. We'd probably buy another house; something where we could have an exercize room and a workshop. I would have time to do community service and volunteerism for the hospital; lord knows we've been in them enough, it would be great to help others who are. And, I would fund a new business around cured and smoked meats of some kind, probably mail order. I've spent 30 years curing and smoking hams, bacons and almost everything else that moved; I would love to build a business in it to pass on to my two sons.
