I have smoked a couple of briskets, and (directly related to all of the great info on this site) they have turned out really good. I have used the following rub both times:

- 1/2 cup paprika
- 1/4 cup Kosher salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cumin
- 1/4 cup chili powder
- 1/4 cup fresh cracked black pepper
- 2 Tbsp cayenne pepper
