Hi y'all!
I've been watching this site for years and decided I needed to join. I'm a construction superintendent from just south of dfw Texas. I just recently built a homemade electric smoker and I'm needing some help. I figured I could pick the collective brain trust of smf.

I'll post a build thread in a little bit but decided to drop a line here first.

Definitely found inspiration! I had a weird charcoal smoker that I could never get working right. The metal was really thin, it was way to pourous, and when I added a firebox it was to big.

I decided to step away from it and build one that had a little more control. I wrote I build thread http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/t/258678/electric-smoker-build#post_1669047 and hopefully y'all can help me fix my issues. Thanks for the welcomes!
