Hi everyone, I've done a little smoking over the last couple years with a small Weber charcoal grill and enjoyed it. My only problem is that it's small and I really have to be around all the time to monitor the temp and add charcoal. I really want an electric smoker and I've been doing some reading on the best out there. I'm never sure what to believe or not so I figured this would be the best place to get advice.
I live in Maryland, and I would like to get something that if I went out for a couple hours, I wouldn't have to worry it about to much. I'm leaning towards the MES 40. Is it reliable and hold the temp?
Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Hi. Can't help you with the newer MES 40. I have a MES 30 gen 1. I love it. The temp holds within my tolerance limits--it swing about 15 degrees. That swin is ok as it will average out just fine.

Somebody will be along to help you with the newer MES 40s

Welcome aboard!

Take a look at a Weber Smokey Mountain.

Easy to use, holds temps well, & gives you that charcoal wood flavor!

Once you get the hang of it they are pretty much set & forget.
