This my small garden. Tried starting from seed inside but most not work out and ended up buying plants. I started mainly for Thai Basil and Habanero's. I needed green Habanero's to make this salsa I fell in love with in Mexico. I just using Orange right now. Recipe is 3 to 4 peppers, 1/4 cup lime juice and 1/4 cup water, blend in blender. Salt to taste. Poor over chopped onions. For something so simple it is crazy good.

Still to early for up here,we're going to have some below freezing temps at night over the next week. Pepper garden area is fully prepped though it will get rototilled one last time before the plants go in.

No vegetable garden this year. Pam wants to turn the raised bed to a flower bed. That's ok with me. Maybe we will have more hummingbirds. At least that's the plan anyway.

Yes, hostas will go in the bed around the patio. I like the way you think, Rich!

My garden doesn't have anything but a stand of raspberry canes that hopefully survived the winter. Didn't get it roto tilled last fall, so lots of spring work.

Our best hummingbird (and hummingbird moths) attractant is the lowly petunia. Yes, an annual, but it blooms from early summer until the frost.

Nice Brian, still way too early up here,
There will be no garden this year again unless I just pick up a couple big pots of Million $ tomatoes and maybe a pepper one or two.

But I hope all our fruit trees do well this year and the Blueberry bushes.

David

(and hummingbird moths)

We have lots of Hummingbirds all summer, and Love it when the hummingbird bumble bee moths show up also.

If I could figure out how to post a small video I have of one in my garden from a couple years ago while I was watering the garden , I would.
But here is two stills , not great shots . But I was watering and it caught me off guard in the daytime. We normally see them at night around the flowers on the decks.

I got four peppers together. Probably going to have some cross pollination.

I would not of done this except I want some green habanero's to see if really make any difference in that salsa. I can grow basil in my indoor garden.

Love raspberries. I have discovered that the prices for most stuff at the farmers market not that $ after all.

Those gardens are a lot of work. I sticking with the farmers market for most things.
Well this is how my garden started out this year

Dang!

My garden is still nothing. Been a late spring and I need to till in the compost I spread last year.
Onions and taters are mostly ready to plant. Russets haven't chitted enough to plant.

No garden here. All the deer and critters eat everything and there is no flat ground big enough to build protection. But the deer and critters are fun

95% of our garden is planted. Still need to plant okra and pumpkins (only two). Other than that we’ve planted…..tomatoes (sweet 100 and sweet brandywine) bush beans, cucumbers, jalapeños, cayennes peppers, zucchini, squash, cow peas, ground cherry tomatoes, broccoli and dill.
