Sounds like my neighbor ( who happens to be father in law) he will come by and say what ya smoking this weekend? I usually am not planning one. Then he shows me the butts or fresh hams he has bought. So I don't refuse and start to prep. See after I am done I have accomplished 3 things: 1- I have made the wife happy by helping her dad, 2- I get some free meat for meals. I take a couple bags for the house and 3- I am in good graces with the father in law! :biggrin:

An RV Food Truck sounds like some fun........ Might be a good retirement idea....

That's great advice.

That's how I have been able to stay married over thirty years. Unfortunately, my Father-in-Law passed away and he can no longer enjoy my smoker. I use to bring him smoked turkeys and he would hide it outside in the refrigerator in the garage. Ever once in a while he would sneak out and rip off a piece. Occassionaly, he would share. Very Occassionally.

But we always raise a toast to him at every family smoking event.

"And here's to Tom, he loved his smoked meat"!

I was at the JH store couple months ago and got it.

I just received the Pecan Rub, Brisket rub and Chicken tickler rub from JH this week.
