Hello guys. my name is matt from PA and i just got and assembled my Masterbuilt Gas Smokehouse XL, and to say im excited is an understatement.  I am very new to smoking meat and very eager to learn.  Any advice and tip will be greatly appreciated and please forgive any stupid questions i may throw out there. Thanks in advance from a smoking noob!

Welcome to the SMF Family...There is plenty of help here and the Free 5-day Ecourse is a good start...http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/a/about-jeffs-5-day-ecourse    Additionally you can Search a topic that you have a question about. For instance Search your type of Smoker   and any useful Modification guys have done. Here is an example...http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/t/...using-the-masterbuilt-vertical-propane-smoker    or Search any type of Meat, Rub or Sauce you would like to make. Please add your location to your Profile. Since I am in Harrisburg I am curious as to where in PA you are...JJ

Hey I'm George. Just started here. I've turned my propane bbq into a smoker in the past lol but I'd like to purchase one or make my own.

Any tips on a good starter setup? Something that won't break the bank would be ideal. Also want to ad that I'm in canada and not sure what's available here
