They look so good.
Thanks Adam.  It's such a good way to cook them.  I let the fire start out low and then get pretty hot toward the end...500* or so.   They cook real even too.  You can do 8 sauages/brats on one pair and easily fit two pairs worth on most grills so 16 spinners isn't too bad!   
 
Look really good:  couple of Qs, Ft. Wayne:

1.  Do they tend to dry out since the casings have been pierces with the forks?

2.  I'll get "squirters" from time to time when the casing does break:  do you get any significant flare-ups doing brats this way?

Nope they stay completely juicy as can be.   Flareups?  I cook over a fire so it's  pretty much perpetually flared up.  Now If you were cooking over charcoal like a kettle you'd bank the coals but in a UDS or something where there's good distance it's fine directly over the fire.
