Anyone try Jeff's rub and tell me what you think about it because I did two racks of :biggrin:St Louis style ribs over the weekend and it turned out perfect:yahoo:used apple wood chips did the 321 method but was done in less than 5 is that normal. Can some give me another recipe they can share

If they turned out perfect, why would you want another recipe?

Jeff has 2 rubs ... Jeff's Naked Rub and .... Texas Rub ... I like the Texas Rub best .... If you obtained his Naked Rub by buying it, then you should already have the Texas Rub Recipe ....

Try coating ribs with maple syrup before applying rub. It's my favorite

I use Jeff's rib rub all the time. I take out a little of the heat in both the rub and the sauce. My friends and family like it that way.

I didn't like Jeff's sauce, so I revised it and now love it. Everyone that has tried my revised recipe of Jeff's Sauce, like it better than anything bought at the store. I don't mean to brag here, but that is the gospel truth.

@letsbobbyQ
Instead of mustard for a binding agent use maple syrup. It's a great contrast to the Texas style rub and if you like sweet then use the regular rub.
Apply on raw meat then apply rub on top of it.

My neighbor is the one that got me into smoking meats and he's the one that gave me the recipe so I was wondering if it's possible that you could give me the Texas rub please

@ElectricLouie
Recipes are all over this website. Try the search box to look for whatever you need. Jeff's naked rub and Texas style rub are a purchase which goes towards supporting the site.

Try getting Jeff's book on smoking. You can pick it up thru amazon and the money still goes to help the site. I also picked up the book Project Smoke when I got Jeff's book. Can't wait till both show up
