I have been to the search bar and followed the links I could find to buy Jeff's rub for some chicken tomorrow and the links are all broken.

I am happy to buy it, but can't find it.

Does anyone have a good link?

thanks,

Mel

20 bucks for a recipe?
Buying Jeff's recipe helps support the cost of this forum.  Without the proceeds from that, it is very likely this forum wouldn't exist, or at least exist as we know and love it.  This is by far the friendliest and most helpful smoking forum I have found and $20 is a small price to pay for the incredible amount of information, entertainment and help from members when we have questions or problems.

The cost of a couple bags of charcoal or a couple of pork butts is a small price to pay IMHO.  There are those who "take" from forums and those who give, and the "givers" on here are what sets this apart from the other forums I have visited

Cheers, and happy smokin'

When I first got on this forum, I thought the same thing "$20 for a recipe".  But after a short while, I realized how much great information I got from the forum, and came to the conclusion that $20 was a TINY price to pay for all the great information.  I got a great rub recipe, a great sauce recipe, and know that I helped to support the forum and all the great information you can get from here.

Thanks Jeff for all the work you put into making this a great place to share, and a great place to learn!

BTW, I used Jeff's recipe for Turkey brine last Thanksgiving (from the newsletter), and produced the best smoked Turkey I ever had!!

I use Jeff's rub all the time even today I am doing a sirloin tip roast with it. Yes it is a small price to pay for this much information on his website. I also got his book which is great as well. I urge everybody to do this and also sign up for the E-Course that is free if you don't have a lot of experience. Well worth it in my opinion and thanks Jeff for all that you do.

I didn't realize that the money went towards the forum.

Hosting is cheap as well as vBulletin. Not to take anything away, but he is selling his recipe - which is fine, the price is just steep.

If he sells a package to help support by purchasing bandwidth and vBulletin licenses that's another story...

Some people could pay close to $20 for two or three bottle of sauce or rub. You are getting the actual recipe so you can make it over and over again. To me, that's a deal.

Flash nailed it right here:

I have tried many different rubs that my family did not like and since I purchased this it is my go to rub for near everything I smoke. The key is this my wife and son love it so it makes them happy.

That alone made it worth my $20.

Can you dispute what I said? Hosting and vBulletin licenses are not that pricey.  There are sponsors on this site as well as ads.  The site gets a good deal of traffic, the sponsorship and ads pay for the hosting easily...

Don't get me wrong, great site...I enjoy using it

I agree with y'all, I bought the recipes to Jeff's sauce and rub and $20 for that is a steal. It's the best rub I've tried and never could find a Q sauce I liked til I tried Jeff's. I personally think that supporting a great site we all get to use and help each other, $20 is a drop in the bucket. All the folks I have met on here, whom I talk to or p.m. on a fairly consistent basis, would have never had the pleasure of meeting them if not for this forum. $20 is a pretty damn good deal as far as I'am concerned. Just my two cents. WHB
