Maiden voyage underway. She's doing 2 pork tenderloins, one with our spicy honey rub, one with our steak rub blend. Using lumberjack apple pellets.

Alright its all done. And was daaaaaamnnnn good. I got a few pics while she was slicing, then she wanted to get a "proper picture like dad" of the plated meal by herself.

My action shots:

I'm one proud papa today. 😀

The second one with our honey rub took a bit longer, just pulled it off. The color, cook, and flavor are perfect. I'm truly amazed, she asked me a few questions, then went and did this without help.

It was so good I caught my youngest on the counter like a raccoon digging through garbage stealing slices off it. 😆

Absolutely tell her it looks great! How many of us ever have that big of a smile?
Pretty sure you have many dad's that are proud of her... and her parents for the young lady you've raised! You should maybe do a poll on how many adopted dads, uncles, and grandpas or papas that she just adopted! Think I'll join the younger one on clean up duty! :emoji_blush:

Love it!!!
My (grown) kids aren't really interested in smoking, but they'll happily eat anything I make.
My son decided to make a layer cake for Christmas, and used a full box of cake mix for each 9-in. round pan. Then panicked when he saw them overflowing. Geez, kid. Read the back of the box. It's not that hard.

What does a typical 11 year old spend their money on? Video games? Clothes? Candy? Nope...not our kid. My 11 year old wanted to use a portion of her Christmas money to buy her very first smoker, all by herself. She got an ASMOKE AS350 mini pellet smoker at Menards for $89. She's already trying to challenge me to a throw-down.
