It's all fun and games until your kid decides she's coming for your crown.

Very cute video. I'll be watching for her on Food Network.
I have a similar knife to the one she's using, though mine is an 8" chef's knife.
She already has her first TV gig lined up. 😀

She's going to do a segment on the local news in a few weeks to promote MeatFest 2026 in Green Bay across from Lambeau Field (It's the biggest BBQ event in the state, drawing nearly 7k people). She was in the kids competition last year, and they reached out asking if she's willing to do a spot promoting the kids competition this year.

What channel

I’ll be on the look out for the spot

Channel 5 CBS out of Green Bay. Still not sure on the exact date, but I know she'll be appearing with Chef Ace Champion on it.

Update on the Junior Pitmaster...she's moved onto smoking chuck roasts and making tacos. She wanted to make a FB Reel, I obliged. 😀

Smoked Pulled Beef Tacos

Not sure if that worked, never attached a video here before.

It worked on my end! First off, you’ve a beautiful daughter… and she definitely has a knack for the camera and cooking. That looks absolutely delicious! I really enjoy watching the kiddos get involved. I like her smoker, the vid, her USA flag oven mit and at the end she took a big old bite… just awesome! She has a very bright future! Great job in raising a future pit master!

Let’s us know when you know that date,

Love that you and your daughter can share the same passion.

Gonna be an easy Easter this year. She decided she wanted to take over the prep work for dinner and is taking care of the ham and recruited her little sister to take on the beans. I can get used to this....

I'm really surprised she got the little one cooking as it's not really her thing. She's like me, but in other ways....

"Practicing to go ice fishing." 😆 🤣 😂

Well, her ham turned out pretty good. Did it on her own until it came time to carve it, then I got the "Daaaaaaaaaaad, come here!" from across the house.

She finished it off using some of the Kosmo Cherry Apple Habanero Rib Glaze I had sitting in the fridge 15 mind before taking it off the smoker, because "It needs to be GLOSSSSAYYYY!" as I was told. 😆

Just got an update from the lady that runs Meatfest, daughter's segment will be on Green Bay local CBS channel 5 WFRV, April 23rd some time between 9 and 10 am. She'll be cooking with and assisting Chef Ace Champion as well as doing a spot talking about the kids competition.

...
Waay cool.
What's that? I think I heard Dad's buttons popping off his shirt.

Looks like they post episodes on YouTube. I'll be looking for it.

Tomorrow's the big day, she'll be live on Green Bay CBS Channel 5 (WFRV) between 9am and 10am central time assisting Chef Ace and talking Meat Fest 2026 and the kid's competition. She's stoked, her little sister asked her if she was nervous and she growled "I got nerves of steel." at her. 😆

A few pics from Meat Fest last year and one with Chef Ace:

YOU GO GRIL GIRLLLL ... AWESOME JOB ....

Psssst... I could see you were nervous but that's GOOD ... That helps get the adrenilin flowing... Then the more you do it the more natural it becomes...

Grats Mom and Dad ....

Good job frenching those scallions. Those aren't easy, I know.

Chef seems like a good mentor, but as someone from the PNW, I have to question drowning the salmon in the sugar sauce.
