Hello pitmasters,
My name is Brandon and I'm new to the hobby of smoking and have been grilling since I was a kid, everthing Ive learned is from family members who were all self taught.I currently reside near Seattle,WA. My pit is a cheap rig a rivergrille 37in offset smoker,as of now I've only smoked some spare ribs, wings, drumsticks and grilled a few steaks. I'm here to learn and get more efficient and become consistent in the art of smoking, bbq, and grilling foods. Thanks for listening and I'm looking fwd to learning from you ladies and gentlemen!!![emoji]128512[/emoji][emoji]128512[/emoji][emoji]128512[/emoji][emoji]128512[/emoji]

Good morning and welcome to the forum, from another sunny and hot day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.

hey gamedog -

my first advice it to keep a journal. I'm new to smoking and love experimenting.

It is so easy to think that you will remember the spices and the smoke time and the wood used for the best ribs you've ever had... but how quickly the mind can forget!

Start by tracking the basics so as to not make it a chore - date, time, meat, temperature, preparation technique, and importantly - final results!!! etc

oh - and pictures to share with all of us here!!!
