In celebration of lowering my bad cholesterol/tryglycerides over 500pts.
Yes, you read that right,
742 to 221.
Yes, still high but my Doc and I are both happy.
I bought myself a little 2" thick ribeye for lunch.

This is one awesome looking ribeye! Looking absolutely delicious! Congrats on lowering your cholesterol, chile!
My cholesterol was always normal till I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2000. then this is constant fight for lower cholesterol, blood sugar, etc. but : I still have my steak, ribs, bacon, piece of sausage time to time.... all in moderation though. Congrats again!

Congrats and a fantastic looking steak. My invitation must have gotten lost in the mail lol

That Steak is Great Chile! Love a thick cut. Looks cooked perfectly. Glad you are getting your health in order. With meds I have Cholesterol good, but Trig's are still a little high. Lowered A1-C over the last 3 years though. Great work all around.

Awesome job getting in control. It seems to come with our aging. There are many diets that can control that. My cousin says if it taste god spit it out. :emoji_laughing:
But he is just about right. Its hard but keep up the good work.

Great work on the cholesterol, and the steak looks killer man! My trigs are/were ridiculously high while the rest of the lipids were ok. finally got on a med to better control it.

Staying healthy as we get older can be hard.

Hell yeah Chile!! Way to celebrate better health my brother...and done in style. That's make one great lunch for sure. Luckily I don't have any cholesterol issues or anything else except high blood pressure....yet anyway :emoji_laughing: With my lifestyle I'm surprised I lived past 40 but sure do enjoy life. Looks like you're making the best of it too. Awesome looking steak and congrats on getting things under control.

Cholesterol is the only thing not wrong with me, usually 170. Triglycerides were 370 now 255. Got my A1C down to 6.8 and still lowering.

Last year I was supposed to get rotatory cuff surgery as I had some partial tears but, the shoulder was also "frozen" and I could not lift my arm over my head. I failed the pre-op as my A1C was at 9.8, I knew it was not good but did not think it was that high. So I met with an endocrinologist and we worked it down to 6.2 with diet and excercise and a couple of med changes. Amazingly my shoulder got better and never needed the surgery. Diabetes screws with your body in so many ways when uncontrolled.

Glad to hear your health is improving, and what better way to celebrate than an awesome looking ribeye like that. But I’m sure you know it can only be once in a while!
