In a delima. I'm camping and put on a pork shoulder to smoke. It's supposed to rain latter today but looks like it's moving in faster then expected. Can I move it to a Crock pot to finish slow cooking if needed. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Need a little more info but with what you provided here is my take... if you have 3-6 hours of smoke you are good matter of fact 5-6 hour is really all you are gonna get on the meat. i recommend move to crocpot or an oven in a foil pan with some apple juice and AC vinegar cook at 275 in the oven or on low in the croc and take it to 200 degrees IT. should be good Q!

Hope this helps,

Crock pots work great for PP!

I think I would use chicken broth in the crock pot for the liquid.

I have had the meat on for about 3 hours. I should be able to get several more hours in the smoker before having to remove the pork. It's a fresh pig and the pork is aprox 3 pounds. Last time I did it it took 10 hours at 230. Just planning incase I run out of time. Thanks for the information.
