I'm Johnny Angell, and yes, that is my real name.  Born in the San Diego area, went to college and Southwestern Junior College and San Diego State.  Served in the Army '68-'71 with an honorable and happily received discharge.  Got an education in computers and started writing code for banks in the San Diego area.  To make a long story short, this San Diego boy and wife (Stacy) relocated to Little Rock, AR in about 1992 for a job.  This after knowing nothing but the perfect weather of southern California.

I am retired and I used to run a lot, until I was diagnosed with an elevated and paralyzed right diaphragm.  There's no cur it will always be paralyzed, though I had significant surgery that was supposed to alleviate the problem to a degree.  Before I could find out if it did help, I was diagnosed with colon cancer.  3 surgeries and a temporary ostomy bag later, I'm in the 90% surgically cured rate, so I feel pretty lucky.

I'm in that rate of cure because I get regular colonoscopies.  I wanted to skip the one that caught the tumor but my wife wouldn't let me.

So let me tell you that if you're doctor says you should get a colonoscopy, do it, don't put it off.  Sure it's a PITA, but would you rather find your tumor via symptoms?  No you don't, because that's way to late.

Jeeze, first post and I'm lecturing.  Sorry 'bout that.

Welcome to the forum Johnny!

Glad to hear your on the mend!

I used to run a lot too, but due to numerous injuries, I'm a walker now!
