 Hi Gang !

Been gone a while ......2  weeks back in Mexico , 1 Week in Belize  Then New Jersey for a week with the NEW Grandson ! 

 OK what did I miss ....?

Hope all is well I didn't forget y'all while in Mexico I saw a real cool BBQ set up at a Little place

This guy has a great BBQ place RIGHT off the Beach ..........

Belize ...NO BBQ to be found ! ( lots a other things to do tho great Tiki Bars )

I'll spare y'all the Grandson pix ....but he is cute !

Getting ready to set for a smoke soon then a Turkey fer Christmas .........

  Ha Ha Ha   (" don't drink the water" )  NOBODY drinks the water !  I lived down there 2 and a half years and the only people who drink it .....Tourists  who forget ...... The Mexicans don't even like to shower in it  !

The guys ( at the BBQ place ) made some incredible  Pork Taco's  they where  cleaning it , just prior to that pic   I was kinda shocked seeing it that close to a Palapa   no fire codes down there ....( among other things ....)

Let me see Mexico and then Jersey now thats two completely different worlds for sure. I do like the grill cooker or whatever it is. I thnik I want one of thoses things on my back porch.

Yea I used to go down there fishing alot back in the 80`s when the prices were right...loved that place...Drink Beer Not Water !!!!

Where did ya go Roller when ya went , I lived in a little Mayan village about a 5 min stroll to the beach  I loved it miss it a lot, BUT its changing a lot , not as safe as it used to be ( that's one reason I came back to the states ). The Drug Cartels are figuring out its easy to get stuff in to Mexico , from that area , less Police , and bring it up thew the country that way .

Used to go to a lodge called Big Bass..Went down there 7 or 8 times. Usually stayed 5 days at a time...went in down in South Texas, Brownsville..Had to pay everybody that you had any dealings with..Always caught alot of fish...Real nice..also used to go to Baja...Cobo  deep sea fishing. Would drive down from San Diego 1000mi one way.. Would pull my boat all the way sometimes be gone for a month at a time. Not a good place to run out of gas...Ha Ha...great fishing in Cobo...miss all of that...

Anyone planning a vacation in Mexico now is nuts, sorry. My best friend living in the USA will not go or take his family there to visit his relatives,,,,,,,,,if a Mexican from Guadalaharo and his wife from Mexico City says it not safe, I know my gringo ass in not.

 I had been going for 35 years with out a problem , I moved their and had a great little business , ( watching Gringo 2Nd homes, and taking care of rental property's as well as taking care of the renters )   I bought a house in a small little village right near the beach , I was living the dream !

About 2 years ago the problems started to flow in ( the borders got tighter , and more started to go south  so I saw the handwriting on the wall , I started seeing Gangs showing up in the town of Tulum, the Zeta's getting involved in the Taxi Bizz to sell drugs to tourists , then the kidnappings ...and Me being a 6 foot tall Gringo with Blond hair ....making money  really stood out .

I sold the house , sold the biz .....My Lady sold hers ( forgot all about the rental $$) and I moved to VA

This last trip ....scary the place has changed a lot !    The Gangs down there ...they don't play ...they KILL YA !

The Mexican Gov ...They don't play either , Bribes , pay off , and every year they change and so do the rules

The Police ....hahahahahahahaha

The Federalize they are wose than the cops , Gov and Gangs They make the rules !

I used to promote the place , and lent my rental to family and friends all the time , but now I tell um   DON'T go ......Sad but true
