But yeah I know the feeling. Already devising a weekend smoke plan. Already started the grocery list and it starts with a case of beer!

It's my wife's birthday weekend so I don't believe there will be a smoke involved. She loves my smoked meat but we are going to be out and about most of the weekend. The smoke will have to wait until the next weekend.

Yes. Ever day. Thinking, about and planning a smoke at work started out as a nice distraction to break up my day at work. Then it went from there to an obsession. Now it's full on addiction! Some people sit down and play video games or turn on the TV when they get home, but I can put on some music, poor a beverage, and have the greatest time in the kitchen and hanging out by the smoker- just me and the pups! That's a Happy Place for me for sure! I look forward to that every moment I am at work. C'mon retirement!

I wish I could as well.
I won't have time to smoke this weekend but I think I'm going to thaw out about 3-4 pounds of venison round roast, chop in to 1.5 inch slabs, and put it in my Fajita marinade for grilling this weekend! My Venison Fajitas are AWESOME!!!!

Grilling is as close as I can get to smoking this weekend AND I need to do a better job of working down the Venison freezer before my big yearly hunting trip later this year :)

It's amazing how much I look forward to college football season. 1. I like watching college football. 2. I love smoking meat.
3. My wife with no fuss allows me to take some Saturdays and put the tv up outside and sit , smoke, drink, watch football And just enjoy the day.
