Austin Texas!
Hey all - Moved to Austin in February from the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia!  Work had a BBQ competition in March, got the bug.

A good guy at work gave me his old char-broil offset in rough shape, cleaned it up and refurbed.... learned to smoke on that thing over the past 3 months.

Finally took the leap and got a beauty 350lb Old Country Pecos offset... I love it... so much better than the cheapo char-broil.  I have such a better time maintaining temp and keepin' that smoke thin and blue!

Anyway, off to post my q-view!

Yea I got the bug at work too! We had a cookout one day and a coworker/friend brought in his Master Forge propane smoker and made the best chicken I had ever had, I bought my GOSM the same day and have been hard at it ever since!

Thanks! I've been lurking for a few weeks, love the advice and breadth of knowledge on here!

Now if only my q-view heavy post would get approved by a moderator!  *hint hint
