I recently acquired a J & R Oyler Little Red Smokehouse. This thing is a monster but I have no use for it. I am wondering if there is a market for it.

These things are serious commercial smokers....

He

may not qualify yet-->first time poster and he's selling something?
Usually a sign of a "ne'er do well" :emoji_angry:
My feeling as well, and I have voiced that opinion. The admins differ in that opinion and are fine with a newb posting a "for sale" ad in the classifieds, so who am I to argue

As long as they aren't trying to sell anything vegan! :emoji_blush:
But what better of a place to sell a smoker than here?

None, but there are plenty of scammers out there who post in forum classifieds to part people from their cash without delivering the item for sale. That is my main concern.

Member since 2019 and I haven't posted it for sale yet. I'm not sure anyone would be interested. These things sell new for huge money.
You may find some interest amongst the members, and I wasn't insinuating that you were out to scam anyone. It is a common thing in forum classifieds, though. Price, post it, and see if there is an interest for it at your given price.

Location and price would be a big help.

The location is in central Washington and I have no idea of what to ask for it. I don't know if it works correctly. I know it was maufactured in 2019. I spoke with Phillip from J R Oyler and was told that about the only thing that could be wrong IF it doesn't work is the controller. He said I could replace it myself ( video available) and the part costs about $1145 so it's safe to say this ain't no Smokey Joe. New price is $35,000. I am an amateur cured meat enthusiast. I have been making hams, bacon, and various kinds of sausage for almost 20 years, but not so much smoke cooking.

Pretty sure there have been other smokers similar to yours listed for sale on here... don't remember how much they were asking for them. Maybe check out the classifieds section if you haven't already to see if you can find them.

I would run it to know if it works, anyone spending that kind of coin would want to test it. If it works maybe list it for 3/4 of retail?? 1/2??
