I need some help from someone that knows about block horizontal smokers
I am new to this
My smoke chamber is getting to hot
So the common sense answer is reduce fire
Then the temp drops to low
Should I install a baffle between fire box and smoke chamber?

Fire box. 32"x 20"
Smoke chamber. 48x32"
Air opening to fire box
2-5"x5" Block hole
Fire pit to smoke chamber
Block hole
Flue block hole

Should I , Damper the fire to smoke box hole?

Looks to be a offset design not a horizontal, air would be your problem regulating temps. Looking at it I would hazard that you need more opening to the pit. gotta move air through to get the heat where you need it, good luck.

The opening between fire and pit
Is a block. If. Remove the block completely add a lintel to prevent sagging

Think that will give it more air ?

Damn newbie doesn't even know what his smoker is😂shaking my damn head
