I did next to nothing, got the call from my kids, had a card on my pillow etc.

I did enjoy a nice smoke, made some spicy meat sticks and a 2lb beef steak.

I hope y'all did something equally enjoyable!

Sticks had habanero, ghost, Thai, dried, blended and mixed in. Delish! Steak was grilled indirect at 400°f on the Primo and seared at the end, not bloody but tender

Cheers!

Looks good! Did next to nothing as well... but involved a recliner and an ice pack on my back. Had my wife and son for company so still was a good day!

Father's Day? Daughter paid for lunch but I picked A Mexican restaurant with great food and very reasonable prices.
Well, I spent $250 on my wife as it was her birthday on Friday the 13th. Can you guess the expense? Shoes.
Another $400 shopping trip to Costco but I got around $100 of that for me.

Care to share your sticks recipe? I have all those dried peppers in the pantry. Looking to make a lower salt blend.
Summer home is Minnesota bland so I have to tread gently on the chilies.

Nothing like a shopping spree! Happy birthday to your wife!

I'll likely take flak but I'm happy to share this very simple recipe.

a bit more than 2 lbs 97/3 ground beef
1 tb black pepper
1 tb garlic powder
1 tb onion powder
1/3 cup of ground dried hot peppers
2 tb regular tender quick dissolved in 1/3 cup of water. Not the sugar blend.

Mix everything together VERY well and process. I used a jerky gun and set my dehydrator to 160°f. Pulled them when they were still a little flexible.

Did you have a drink with that beautiful Oliva? Please tell me it was great. Since my blood clot i can't do cigars. Although for father's day I did have some fun spinning a sirloin roast. Hope your day was amazing. Mine was good, cigarless, but good.

The roast looks great, I haven't owned a rotisserie for a very long time but it's something that floats around in the back of my head often.

Yes, the cigar was great, especially after about a half hour into it. The last 1/3 I'd always the best for me. I did enjoy a little Toki whiskey with it.
