I have been seeing what looks like a hyperlink attached to some post.

I have been seeing what looks like a hyperlink attached to some post. I found one attached to one of mine earlier and I know that I did not attach it. So is this something that I need to be concerned about? Like a possibly a virus? Here is 1 of the post were I noticed it....This is not the only one though......

When you are reading a post, the words will be brown and underlined like the link to this post looks……It may not be anything, but I was just curious......ShoneyBoy

Are you talking about Squibs links in his signature? Those are indeed hyperlinks and because he is a premier member those are allowed

No, in cmrw’s 1[sup]st[/sup] post has it, the words “local university” is brown and underlined….and when I run my mouse over it, it opens a window that has a reference to going back to school…..I’m wondering if it is just my computer ? I will get my computer tech in here and get his opinion on it…..My 18yr old….  will be in soon.....

I think this happened to me and I couldnt get rid of it.. I had to download adblockplus to stop it and it worked... a word would be brown and if I clicked on it it would take me to an advertisement..

Sounds like you have some script running on your computer that highlights certain key words.

What operating system and browser are you using?

Yes, but there's a link to an ad there and not a link back to roll call.....
