Since my bride has been down due to her back injury and surgery, my MIL has been coming over a couple of afternoons each week for almost 3 months now! She been doing a lot of the little things I'm either not "allowed" to do, or I wouldn't think to do... You know, folding laundry, that I never get right, mopping the kitchen, which I constantly screw up, and the biggest, keeping my bride sane with visits!

So, since she and my FIL, seem to like my smoked stuff, I made a little care pack for them.

She likes pepper jack, and he likes cheddar, so I sliced and packed up some of the cheese I smoked last November.

Both of them like my snack sticks, so a few snack packs were required... Kabanosy and the cheese they each like.

Since they tend to have quite a few family members stay with them during the Holiday Season, I threw in some sliced loin ham, and a full chunk of loin ham (pre-sliced then packed)

I married into a GREAT family, and I really wish they'd let me do more for them! They say that they feel blessed when I send home smoked foods...

Just a lucky guy I guess!

Buzz, I think everyone's a winner here. You are getting the help that you need and the in-laws are getting some great smoke products. I hope your wife has a quick recovery and everything gets back to normal.

My prayers and thoughts, Joe.

Good on ya Buzz, for taking good care of the In-laws...not to mention caring for you misses til she's back on her feet! Thumbs Up

That's a mighty tasty lookin care package!

Excellent looking care package. I'll come fold your laundry for that! Haha. All kidding aside, I have great in laws too and I love cooking for them. Great job!

Thanks folks!  She is a great lady and has been a LOT of help.  She has definitely assisted in keeping the wife mentally stable.  To give you an idea of how her mind is right now, she got excited to go for a ride to the Dr on Tuesday!  It had been a month since she had been further than the front porch!  LOL

Nice care package but where was the Crown Royal
