So I decided to make a family favorite. Hab pineapple hot sauce. It is one of 4 or 5 sauces that I make from time to time, but this is the most requested ! No added salt or sugar, which is good for me since my bp is high. I'd love to share the recipe but then I'd have to kill you

Lugnutz-where did you get your bottles? I have a Habanero-Pineapple Hot Sauce that I make-you state yours has not added sugar; mine uses 2-3 tablespoons of agave nectar.

If anyone is interested in my recipe, shoot me a pm.

I have 2 receipes that I've been using for a few years.  I'd be interested to see if either are close to what you do.
Caribbean style pineapple habanero hot sauce
3 rings of canned pineapple and 2 TBS of the juice

.5 tsp dried thyme or 1 tsp fresh thyme

3 cherry tomatoes

1 medium sized clove of garlic

A half inch piece of fresh ginger

The white part of 3 scallions

.5 tsp white vinegar

Juice of half a lime

2 TBS molasses

4 TBS yellow mustard

.75 tsp ground allspice

A dash of cinnamon

Salt to taste
Tropical Habanero Hot Sauce
2 pounds habanero peppers
1 pint apple cider vinegar
3/4 cup lime juice
1/2 cup fresh pineapple, coarsely chopped
1/2 cup fresh mango, coarsely chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon garlic powder
The tropical one calls for mango and pineapple but I usually skip the mango and double-up the pineapple.

Dutch I found them doing an online search. I have had them forever and don't remember exactly where I picked them up. I wish I had gone with PET instead of glass tho.

Larry M     I decided to make a family favorite   it is the most requested by my family. Plenty have tried it and I had considered selling the recipe, therefore the hesitance to share.

After a long discussion with the wife I finally have her blessing to share this with you.

3 oz  hab

6 oz onion

1 ½ oz garlic

5oz carrots

5oz pineapple

7 Tbsp limejuice ( I think this is the same as 3/8 cup )

½ cup pineapple juice

3/4 cup vinegar

boil garlic, carrots and onion in water till tender. drain and place in blender  ( I have found that letting it cool is a good thing ) then add habs pineapple and the fluids and blend well.

place in small pot and bring to a slow boil, then bottle.

yields about six 4 oz bottles.

Thanks Lugnuts.

I'm going to have to give your recipe a try as it is different than mine.

Here is my recipe-

Habanero-Pineapple Hot Sauce

2 tbsp canola oil

1/2 a large sweet onion (Vidalia-if available), minced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 large can of crushed pineapple

1 habanero, minced (including seeds)

1 cup apple cider vinegar

2-3 tablespoons of agave nectar or honey

pinch of salt
 1. In a sauce pan, heat canola oil over medium heat; add minced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until soft. Remove excess oil from pan.
 2. Add remaining ingredients to the pan and bring to a boil, reduce and simmer for 10 minutes.
 3. Pour contents of pan into a blender or use a stick blender right in the pot. Puree the sauce until smooth.

All these recipes sound good...Thanks for coming through Lugnutz!...JJ
