I started a new rabbit hole hobby this winter!
I’m tying trout flys or attempting to😂
I’ve been watching YouTube videos for the last 2 months. It’s very intriguing work tying materials to a small hook but it very rewarding and I’m getting better and faster with each one.
I can’t wait till Spring gets here to try them out.

Here at Mountain Home, Arkansas we hold a yearly conference on fly fishing. Brings people from all over the World. No joke.
Banjo Man out.

I've always wanted to learn to fly fish. Hear in ND there aren't very many people that indulge. I guess now and days there is YouTube University unlike 25yrs ago when days didn't go so fast and responsibilities were fewer

Fly fishing isn't really hard to catch on....pun intended! Catching even smallish fish is fun. I've caught everything from trout to pike on mine.

Considering I am a gear junkie and like to tinker I always figured it would be a hobby that I would constantly be tweaking things. I like to think that I am better about it with age now. If I were to get into it I would probably want a bass/pike setup and then something more along the lines for crappie and bluegill. More than likely would probably start with bass.

I started with trout. Then one day a pickerel hit a wet fly I was using. I had an absolute blast fighting it! Small poppers work good for bass, crappie, and blue gill. A good beginner set up is the Martin Caddis creek.
